Hughton (left) could draw on his young reserves to strengthen his options

Newcastle United's return to the Premier League is likely to see some wheeling and dealing from boss Chris Hughton, as he attempts to keep the club in the top flight following their Championship success.
Highly rated players Steven Taylor, Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan have all been linked with possible departures as rivals seek to bolster their ranks, while the step-up to the upper echelons of English football for Newcastle will no doubt prompt the arrival of personnel to strengthen the squad for a tough campaign ahead.
However, a statement from the club's owner Mike Ashley revealed that the squad that won the Championship this year will form the basis of the team for next season in the Premier League, and there would be "no new capital outlay on players".
Thankfully for Newcastle there are a few aces up Hughton's sleeve in the club's reserve team and academy ranks, and BBC Sport has compiled a few faces with the potential to shine in the Magpies first team next season.
TAMAS KADAR - DEFENDER
Kadar has enjoyed his first-team bow at St James' Park this season

Having tasted the Championship with Newcastle last season, Tamas Kadar could prove to be a valuable commodity for boss Chris Hughton in his side's attempts to remain in the Premier League on their return this forthcoming campaign.
The 20-year-old made his professional debut in his home country of Hungary with Zaleagerszegi TE at the age of 16, and was snapped up by the Magpies in January 2008.
Since that time Kadar has begun to make an impression in the first team, notably last season where in the absence of key players Steven Taylor and Fabricio Coloccini at centre-back through injury, the 6ft 2in defender made 13 league appearances and impressed with his strength and maturity.
Although Taylor, Coloccini and £2m January signing Mike Williamson lie ahead in the pecking order, the Hungary Under-21 international could well make a further impression in the top flight next season.
BRADDEN INMAN - MIDFIELD
Aussie-born Inman has been capped by the Scotland Under-19 side
|
Born in Adelaide, Australia but capped by Scotland Under-19s, skilful Bradden Inman is a player coveted by the Newcastle youth set-up, and was part of the side that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals during 2009/10.
The 18-year-old, nicknamed Kaka by his team-mates due to his likeness to the Brazilian treqartista, has been on the fringes of the first-team thanks to his form in the academy and reserve team ranks, and was an unused substitute against Manchester City during the infamous relegation season of 2008-09.
As well as showing his talents on Tyneside and winning the Wor Jackie award at the Sport Newcastle Dinner in 2010, Inman has also impressed in his international endeavours.
He scored against Belgium for the Scottish Elite squad, and was involved in all three of their final qualifiers which eventually resulted in the nation missing out on the Uefa European Under-19 Championships after defeat by Croatia.
Hughton, a keen observer of the club's young talent, has promoted Inman along with several of his junior team-mates to the first-team for the 2010/11 season, and the future looks bright for a player still waiting for his senior bow at St James Park.
HARIS VUCKIC - MIDFIELDER

|
Haris Vuckic has become one of Newcastle's brightest prospects since sealing a move from Slovenian Division One side NK Domzale in January 2009.
He helped the club into the FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2009/10 before bowing out to Aston Villa, netted six times for the reserves and was handed a first-team opportunity in the League Cup, and in the Championship, making four appearances.
Vuckic's passing, skill and vision has reportedly attracted the attentions of Premier League rivals Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, and only injury prevented him from playing a further part in the first team's march to promotion to the Premier League last term.
Boss Chris Hughton has added the skilful winger-cum-playmaker to his first-team squad for the forthcoming campaign, and Vuckic's development could be a major factor in Newcastle's success over the next 12 months.
SAMUEL ADJEI - MIDFIELDER
Adjei was a star of Newcastle's FA Youth Cup side in 2009-10
|
The evidence of Newcastle United's worldwide appeal can be observed in the continental flavour of the club's academy and reserve team ranks, and Sweden-born wideman Samuel Adjei is a prime example.
Adjei, 18, arrived at St James' Park from Swedish side Jonkoping Sodra in February 2009 and has since imposed himself on the club's academy set-up, notably among his colleagues as part of the club's impressive FA Youth Cup squad.
The skilful winger represented his country of birth at Under-19 level in a 4-4 draw with the Netherlands in October 2009, but is yet to make a breakthrough to the under-21 ranks.

606: DEBATE
|
However having come of age at the turn of the year, time is on his side, and with a step up to the reserve team a distinct possibility this year, the occasional first-team outing in 2010/11 is not out of the question.
PHIL AIREY - STRIKER
Airey netted eight goals for Newcastle's reserves last season
|
Feisty, powerful and stocky, in the mould of Craig Bellamy, Phil Airey is a Magpies-mad striker who has shown his thirst for goalscoring in the club's junior ranks, and is being tipped to make an impression in the first-team in the near future.
The 18-year-old was a slow-burner in the reserves last season, but ended up among the top scorers having rattled home eight goals, including a final game hat-trick against Grimsby, added to his 11 strikes for the youth team.
Airey has shown a spikiness to his play, which showed in his dismissal in the FA Youth Cup semi-final second-leg against Aston Villa, but has the necessary aggression and pace to cause defences problems.
Amble-born Airey has the potential to become another home-grown great at St James' Park, and having been handed a shirt number by boss Chris Hughton has every chance of breaking through to the first-team next season.
