Tamas Targets Capital Call
TAMAS Kadar hopes to win a place in the Newcastle United starting line-up for the final game of the season at QPR this weekend having enjoyed a flawless run out for the Reserves during Tuesday's 2-0 win over Rotherham.
The Hungarian was part of a second-string back four which recorded a first clean sheet since February en route to a second successive home win.
Kadar has appeared 16 times for Chris Hughton's senior side this term, but told nufcTV that he is hoping for one more outing when The Magpies journey to the capital on Sunday afternoon.
"It would be a nice way to finish the season for me and that is why I played for the Reserves, to get some match sharpness," he said.
"It is always good to play a full 90 minutes and I needed the game.
"I don't know what team the manager will pick on Sunday but I want to be part of it."
He added: "It was unbelievable to be part of the celebration after the game on Saturday.
"This is my first-ever championship and I cannot tell you how happy it made me.
"It also made me excited for next year and I cannot wait to be back in the Premier League.
"This year has been very good for me and I feel I have improved as a player.
"Now I just want to be involved on Sunday because for me that would be a nice way to finish the season."
